With Boston playwright Alvin Aronson, Mark wrote the book, lyrics, and music to "Testing the Musical." All 15 musical numbers, plus a four-movement orchestra suite, were recorded and released on a CD entitled "The Testing LP." Collaborating with New York filmmaker Nicholas Thomason, Mark wrote the score to "Malefactor." The film played at the Pawtucket Film Festival and at the Williamsburg Film Festival in New York City.
As a writer of orchestra and chamber music, Mark’s work has been performed by the Winchester Orchestra of San Jose, the Boston College Symphony Orchestra, the Brevard Music Center Orchestra, the Newton Symphony Orchestra, the Hawthorne String Quartet, the Athena Chamber Ensemble, and the Essex Chamber Music Players.
